A day with Mayo Wynne Baxter Solicitors

A day with Mayo Wynne Baxter Solicitors
For customer day this year, I visited the Lewes office of Mayo Wynne Baxter Solicitors, Lewes.

Whilst I was aware that they purchased residential reports from Groundsure, my main awareness of the brand (as with most things in my life) was associated with sport.

They always seemed to support the local teams with hoardings inevitably up when I ever have visited the County Cricket Ground or Brighton’s Amex Stadium.

The Groundsure team arriving at their customer day.

We started off the day with the Head of the firm’s Property Team, who introduced us to the company. Although, as it happened most of my colleagues present seemed to already be clients of the firm, with one having recently used them and another currently using them for the purchases of their own homes.

The discussion then moved onto the exciting topic of environmental searches. Our host talked about a case from a few years ago when he used another environmental search provider. He told us how at that time, there had been contaminated land issues being flagged up with the environmental searches on a large-scale apartment development near Brighton station. As an alternative he suggested to one of his clients that they try a Groundsure report. He was delighted to tell us that we provided a passed report.

As it turned out, this was because Groundsure held ‘additional information’ that verified the contaminated land issues had been satisfactorily dealt by the developer as part of their planning application. The crazy thing was though, that my colleague (Adam Grant, who was currently using Mayo Wynne Baxter to buy a new home), remembered the exact case and he was the Groundsure consultant that had actually found the information by trawling through the Council’s website.

Needless to say, our client was rather impressed by this! This is a great example highlighting Groundsure’s consultancy expertise, and how we strive to ensure a satisfactory outcome for our clients.
